Sohay adds an AI chat widget to your WordPress site. What makes it different from dropping a generic chatbot on the page is where its answers come from: the articles you publish in your own Knowledge Base, not the model’s general training.
How an answer gets made
When a visitor asks something, Sohay does not send the question straight to the model and hope. It first searches your Knowledge Base for the articles most likely to answer it, then hands those articles to the model along with the question, and asks it to reply using them.
That ordering is the whole design. The model is doing the writing; your articles are doing the knowing.
If your Knowledge Base does not cover something, the chatbot will say so rather than inventing an answer. That is the intended behaviour, and it is why publishing more articles is the main lever you have over answer quality.
What you get
- A chat widget on every page, which you can hide on the pages you would rather it stayed off.
- A Knowledge Base in your WordPress admin, with its own public pages so visitors can read the articles directly.
- A Conversations inbox where every chat is saved. Your team can search it, filter it, assign a chat to somebody, and reply by hand.
- Shopping tools on WooCommerce stores — catalog search, live stock and prices, and add-to-cart inside the conversation. On sites without WooCommerce, none of it appears.
- Spend controls, so a runaway loop or a hostile bot cannot quietly drain your AI provider account overnight.
What it is not
Sohay does not resell model access. You bring your own API key from OpenAI or Google and pay that provider directly for what you use. Sohay is the plumbing between your content, your visitors, and whichever model you chose.
It also does not phone home. There is no analytics, no telemetry, and no third-party fonts or CDN assets — the only outbound requests are the ones to your AI provider, and they are listed in full under Privacy, Data & Access.
